about

we are robots is a collection of tracks that feature prominent distortion, bitcrushing, acid-like bass, and robotic-like sounds. All of these songs were originally crafted in Caustic 2, between May and December of 2013.

Originally, my plan was to release this album in August or September of last year, fully sequence every track in Caustic 2, have a concept-like feel about how humans are becoming like robots, and essentially have the album be a showcase of what Caustic 2 can do, especially considering Caustic 3 was being beta-tested during latter four months of 2013. Instead, we are robots is finally available now and is still mostly a Caustic 2-only project.

Reasons for delay: I went back to college, I was very busy, Caustic 3 was released in December and I wanted to desperately play around, I made a short EP using chord sounds, and, most importantly, most of the tracks on this release were just patterns and demos up until the past month where I have finally found time to finish them. And I’m really happy I can finally share this album with you all.
